Ok so a few days ago his toe looked like it was broken... slightly curved. He was walking ok but with a limp. Today he was laying down alot and when we went outside at one point it looked like a hen was pecking at him which never happens. We knew we needed to wait til dark and Instead of roosting with the ladies he was laying down by the pigs. His toe looked more curved than before but it is also more swollen. We are currently soaking it in pink Himalayan salt ....(because apparently I am out of epsom)... and peroxide with warm water. We started with salt and water only and are now onto another bowl (spilled the first one and was worried about Bumble foot)... thoughts?

Sprayed with vetericin, dried, wrapped and in the bathtub for the night (towels down for his comfort.) I'm just not sure how to proceed. He is a very very nice rooster and is good to the ladies. We had a hawk attack recently which is where I thought his toe may have been broken... he ran to the girls when the hawk flew down and closed ot off. The hawk only ended up grazing one of the hens.
It was on camera which is how we knew what exactly happened ed... I has run outside afterwards but wasn't sure what all it was causing the commotion.

Looks like mild frostbite to me though. You can put antibacterial ointment on it, but the toe will eventually turn black and fall off.
