"Brood patch?" Is this why Jane's stomach is naked and featherless???

    Jane is my broody Serama hen. Her stomach is naked! No feathers! [​IMG] Is this the brood patch? Anyone know?
    And no, she doesn't have mites or lice. She lives in a rabbit cage in our kitchen.

    My little frizzle cochin does the same thing when I picked her up and saw how naked she was I just about lost it, I thought for sure she had a dreaded disease ,nope just broody
