Help. Looking for opinions and advice on the. BRinsea ecoglow. versus the Premier1 heat plate for brooder
HTTP://www.sweeterheater.com Calculate price per sq. Inch of heating space. Can be side, top or flat mounted. These are what Gail Damrow ,the famous poultry author uses. Best, Karen
Go to the mama heating pad thread. I made a "hen" for $13 and she has a controller that makes her cool enough for use in a house OR warm enough to be out in a coop with nights well below freezing. Best.brooder.ever.
And just how exactly does one sanitize a warm cloth heating pad that chicks have been climbing all over? Best, Karen
I bought both, the brinsea eco for 20 chicks, it is kind of on the small side and oh was it hard to get those legs on and after plugging it up and the chicks under it I loved it although hated that the chicks were crawling all over the top within a week so Tried putting tin foil or paper towels but with chicks they move that around Anyway bought the premier 1 which states up to 25 (its a tad bigger then brinsea smaller model) and bought the topper too, and loved it even more.. and its so easy to adjust the legs and the chicks cant climb on top and hey its ever cuter then the brinsea .. I love brinsea incubators but premier 1 has them beat on the brooders and I may be looking to add another brooder and its going to be premier 1
