brooder or broody hen??

    I have five eggs in the incubator, once they hatch should i put them in the brooder and raise em separate or try graft them to a hen?? (They still have about 19 or so days left in the bator just so u know)

    [​IMG] I prefer broody hens but not all hens will accept chicks. It's already a good idea to have a brooder set up just in case.

    Unless you have a broody hen that has been sitting on eggs for awhile you'll have to raise them yourself. Sorry, but hens are usually not fond of chicks unless they are broody. A non-broody hen will very likely attack the chicks.
