This Friday I'll be picking up some more chicks which will be going into the same brooder as my other chicks which will be 11 days old and 8 days old. So I'm wondering what temp I should have the brooder at? Should I keep it at 90 degrees until these last few are a week old? I'll also be having a separate brooder starting the 30th which will end up having chicks with a 12 day age difference.

I am new to chickens, but my brooder has alot of no heat and 90 degrees in a corner and I have 1 and 2 week old chicks ... let the chick decide what temp they want .... just make sure you have a real warm spot .... my chicks spend most of their time away from the lamp .... and they are growing like CRAZY!

Let me also add they are out in the garage and we have had 70-80 degree days .... when and if it gets colder, I have another lamp I will turn on .... but my brooder is 4x6 so they have plenty of room to find their individual comfort ...
