hello chicken experts i have a question,
my japanese and cohchin are laying eggs but they are not broody so i got an aseel mix hen for brooding and she is siting on the eggs, i want to know for how much time a hen can be broody?if she able to hatch the eggs and i separate the chicks, then again can i put the eggs under the broody hen? will she sit on the eggs? can i do this several times?

No, let a hen hatch one batch of eggs, raise the chicks and recover. Being broody is hard on a hen and she can lose up to 25% of her body weight during the 3 weeks it takes to incubate her eggs. It'll be cruel to take her babies away and give her more eggs to hatch. Rather get an incubator then.

she already is on 2nd batch, last time she broke all the eggs and only hatched one baby which died after 2 days... so she became aggressive and started fighting with other chickens, so for the try i gave her new eggs, and she was broody that time so she sit on that.
