Just got another chance to candle one of the eggs in Ellie's nest.. It has veins with a little dot... the other one I checked Tuesday has a circle with veins. there are 9 eggs in nest... She caught me putting it back in nest and I got fussed at.. Darn she took a short break... I'm happy though cause she didn't get off the nest all day yesterday nor today until about 15 minutes ago.. I took her water several times today and got her to drink by dipping her bill in it...
I'll have to wait a few days and try and candle again so I can make sure there's no duds... I hope she goes around the corner out of site next time will give me more time..
Or will she kick the bad ones out/????

Thank you . yes it exciting because I was afraid that Stanley ( 2 years) was not getting them fertile.. not from lack of trying either lol... Daisy is going to be molting proably around the end of JUly... So it's nice to know that she will have some of her eggs hatch. Even if Ellie is the one doing the work..
Daisy will proably go broody next year as she will be 3 yrs old.
