So yesterday 9 chicks hatched out of 12 that the broody was laying on. So Little, fluffy, and all colored black some with brown spots. I am still hopeful the other three will hatch. [IMG]

    :) I was so excited

So cute! If the broody is up, off her eggs now, she probably won't sit on them again unless you take her chicks away until they hatch.

Yes we cleaned out her coop , one of the chicks we found cold and the other drowned, I am so sad. I am trying to keep the chick as warm as possible. So now we have eight with one trying to make it through.:(

So my daughter held on to the eggs and one was still hatching and the other eggs one was peeping so we took baby chicks away and put her back on eggs.she is still laying on eggs so maybe chickies will come. And cold baby chick is all better now.

That's good. I have gotten some of my favorite chickens by taking the chicks away from the hen for a few hours, so the late bloomers can hatch.
