Hi!
Have a broody EE who has been hatching some Speckled Sussex eggs we gave her. Discovered the 1st chick at noon today. 6 hours later she has at least 4 babies. Will she stay on the nest until all of the 12 eggs that will hatch, have hatched? We're in TX and it is 88 degrees at 6:30 p.m., if that is any influence in the situation. They have their own coop. We put a "floor" in the top story of it. When they do come out of the nesting area, there is a chick feeder and a chick waterer and that whole top story of space.

The hen typically stays on the nest for 24-48 hours after the first chick hatches to finish the hatch.
