Hi, we have a couple of queries really that Im hoping someone with experience will be able to advise us on. here goes...
    problem one...
we have a bantam hen that went broody a while ago, we put some fertile eggs under her and got one chick now 10 weeks old. We have now put the mom and chick back in with the small flock ( 3 hens and a cockeral) and all was going well except now the hen has gone broody again! She wont come off the nest and baby is staying in there too. Im worried it wont get food and drink but dont really know what to do. Im wondering whether to remove the broody hen into the broody house and leave chick in with the others but is it old enough? will it survive?
    problem 2...
we also have a small flock of 3 pekin bantams. Every one of them has now been determindely broody for well over 4 weeks, what do we do with them,we;ve tried dunking their bums in cold water, putting the cockeral in, taking them outside and shutting them out etc etc and nothing breaks them!
if anyone can help at all please do!!
    thanks.

Quote:Problem One: Move her to the broody house. Junior is plenty old enough.
Problem 2: Surely you don`t need the eggs, so just let them wait it out. nature will take it`s course............Pop
