I have a cochin who went broody. I gave her 7 fertile eggs to sit on last Friday, the 23rd. Today I went to check on her and she was in a different nest box and the fertile eggs were not as warm as they were before. I put her back in the right nesting box and she has stayed there. Do you think the eggs will be okay?
Is there a reason they do this? I did not collect the eggs from the other boxes earlier... could that be why? TIA

Sometimes, when there are eggs in other boxes, the hen gets confused. Also, if there's another hen laying in her box, she'll go to another one. Hopefully, since the eggs were still warm, they'll be okay.
