My 2nd broody Hen, an Easter Egger. My first one, Ayam Cemani, I broke her out of it rather quickly. This one, not so much. I get her off the nesting area several times a day. She wil join the others and eat and drink until I disappear. She forgages outside the run after 5 with the others. She is not nasty with me. She is either sitting on eggs, or not. I lock up the nest area at night. She goes right back in when I leave for the morning. I made a jail last night and put her in it at lunch (this morning she hung with the others. Can I take her out when I get home at 5 or should I keep her in it for another day or 2? I would be locking up the nest area for tonight again.

You have to keep her off the nest or any other place she may try to nest down if she can't get in the nest. I always just leave them in the open wire crate for as long as it takes to break them. If you can watch her the entire time and ensure she stays off of any nesting material, then let her out.
