One of my hens is broody. Its getting cold outside but i figured what the heck. i was wondering if i could pick her up to see exactly how many more chicks we should expect, or would i break her of her broodiness? also while she was sitting one of my other hens got in the nest with her and tried to lay an egg should i let her disturb my broody, or doesnt she care?

Do you want her to hatch chicks? You can look under her to see how many eggs their are, just be careful because those broodies can be mean!!
As far as the other hen, mark the eggs that the broody is trying to hatch so you know which eggs to remove daily. I've always seperated my broodies so they can have some peace and quite with her eggs.
