What should you do if a hen goes broody? I know about ice cubes, but are there any other ways? Any better ways?

Instead of ice cubes, I'd use a wire bottomed cage with no bedding so they can't nest and it's cool underneath them. Some people even put the cage up on blocks so it's not on the ground and there's even more air.

Or... you could just move her to the place where you want her to sit on eggs. I moved my broody to the "broody house" last night, and she was no longer broody as of this morning.

Thanks! I am still new to the wonderful chicken world... so I am glad for the help. I will try that! -bbchickies
