We have had 2 RIR and 2 BO for about six months. Hens are about 1.5 years old. First, one BO went broody about a month ago and then the other followed. Now we have two non productive layers, (fixing to be fryers). How do you break them of this? My wife has tried dumping them off the nest and locking the brooders out of the coop for hours at a time but as soon as the coop door is open they take over the nests. (We only had two nests). The other day one of the RIR's was sitting on the nest on top of the BO. Needless to say, our egg production is near zip.zero. I added a third nest but no one seems interested in the new one. darn females!!!

Put them in a cage with a wire bottom, that way they get some air on their underfluff. It works for me, but I usually have to leave them in the cage for a few days. Good luck!
