Broody is now a Momma! New Baby Chicks! We are Sooo Happy!

    Momma just made us proud. Just adding pics to brag about my babies! We know they are not hers but she did the work to make it happen. How old do they need to be before I can open them up to my other hens?

    Thats awesome, congrats!

    How does she sit in the pecking order? If she's a good mama she'll give any of the other hens (and roos too) heck if they try to mess with her babies. You could always try them out in your run/free range first?

    soo sweet!![​IMG] I waited about 4 week, less stressful for me and mama, but they did great and she kept them close with clucks and chased any one off that tried to get to close. A real blast to watch!
