Broody Mama

I have twelve chickens, but every time I check the coop there are no eggs. So I started to check places that a chicken would hide eggs, and sure enough I found my little Pez over a whole pile of eggs.

I found her in the corner making her little broody clucks. Oh little Pez...

Where there's a will there's a way. Pez wants to be a mom.

Do you think other chickens chose that spot to lay, or she moved those eggs there?

If there is no obstruction or ledge, a hen may rool an egg over to her nest.
Do you have a rooster, are the eggs fertle?
Depending on your location it may be to late in the year for chicks.
