So I've got 2 broody hens - who are terrrible setters - they're off the eggs and so the eggs are not hatching - duh! But they keep sittin on them. So I think if I get a couple of day olds that they'll be happy.

Do you know if a day old will take to a hen even if hatched out of an incubator?

    Thanks.

Not really familiar with broodies and chicks, but I'd think the bigger problem is getting the hens to accept the chicks. Sounds like they aren't very serious broodies. How old are the hens, is this their first time going broody?

Also, how long have they been sitting?
