My splash brahma hen has been sitting in the nest box most of the day. Ive seen up up and walking around a bit, but then she goes back to the box.
I tired to touch her and she peaked at me.
Its been very hot today, some of the hens are under trees, some in the dog house, etc. So I dont know if she is in there to cool off or what.
I know theres 3 eggs under her.

Could you show picture showing how she is standing / supporting herself?

Its cooled off outside and she is still on the nest.
I"ll check tomorrow and see what she is doing

I follow the rule of two consecutive nights. If the hen or pullet spends two nights in the nest instead of roosting with the rest of the flock, then she's broody. This is, of course, in addition to the puffing up, hissing and growling, and pecking at any hands moving in to check on her eggs.
