One of my girls has gone broody. I have washed her behind twice now but it keeps on gathering into a clump on her behind. Good grief...I am tired of washing her. She is hardly eating so I am surprised by the build up. Is this clumping noted in orpingtons where there is allot of bottom feathers? It's a bit much to be bathing her or does this remedy itself.[IMG]

I'd try to trim her feathers and see if that helps.
