Broody quail! Eggs due to hatch any day!

Hi! We have a mama coturnix quail that has been sitting in her eggs and they are due to hatch any day! Question, do you leave mama with the babies for a certain amount of time and then remove the chicks? Any advice on how to manage this would be amazing! Currently, she has been secluded away from everyone in a mesh box and we just made a larger one for her as her chicks hopefully hatch 😃

you will have to see how the broody does with them. i’ve never let a broody coturnix go that far.

I would leave them with the hen unless she picks on them. Watch her carefully.

My broody hatched and raised her chicks. At about 2 weeks she started weaning them, which meant she pulled them out of her feathers when they climbed in. I started seeing some bald patches and I separated them. They were ready to be on their own and did well.
