So I have a wyandotte who I think might be going broody...usually when she lays she kicks the fake eggs out so she can lay her own. Well now she is rearranging the nest and sitting on all the eggs including the fake two. She use to lay every other day and stopped for a while she didn't go into molt but out of no where she started laying again and now its everyday...also do broodies make any different sounds than normal

If she's still laying, she's not broody yet.

My broody would puff up and screech at me if I bothered her on the nest. She also made clucking noises. And she stayed on the nest, even through the night.

Here she is all puffed up, giving me the broody stink eye. (by this point, she had turned velociraptor and was biting me too) Of course this was the day she hatched the babies.

ETA: forgot to add the pic

oh yeah, mine growls at me when shes broody. Shes good about not pecking me though. I always give them a day or two after I discover them before I put her and the eggs in the broody pen. She will sit tight if she is broody.
