For those of you who have let a broody raise ducklings, what adjustments did you make to the pen, waterers and pools? I have tall containers of water that I'm going to swap out for something smaller, but the pool is currently something like the picture. Should I swap it out for a kiddie pool with some sort of step? Does anyone have pictures of what they use?

Is that above ground or buried in the ground? Generally with water containers, if they can climb into it, they can climb out of it. For my broody raised babies I made sure there were multiple feeders and waterers so they could go eat/drink peacefully without being in the way of the big girls. I also made sure I had a feeder and waterer with low enough sides that the ducklings could easily access it.

The pool is inground, I may block that one off. My kiddie pool is being used as a brooder at night now for my month old duckies. Thank you for the suggestions!!

I only have the one hen right now so they have the majority of the pen to themselves except the small area penned off for the month olds. I processed my Drake yesterday :)
