Broody Silkie

    My white silkie just hatched some chicks [​IMG] Is it too cold for them out in the weather or not ????? the chicks are silkies too.

    Mama has a built in heater!!!! They will be fine...

    When I saw the subject.. I was expecting someone talking about their broody silkie... I was gonna comment.. What a shock! A Broody Silkie?!!?? lol

    But yes mama hen is the best, just be sure she is the only one with the chick in a brooding area. Roosters will peck it to death, thats why I took mine from mama.

    I have My roosters are mean anyway so i took her away from the flock when she went broody [​IMG]
