Brown Red Cochin bantams

I am newer to the cochin bantams and I have started my own little projects. I'm hatching chicks regularly and I am hooked, lol!!

Anyways, I am very attracted to the Lemon blues and Brown reds... I've pretty much learned that getting lemon blues is just near to impossible unless I order eggs, which i'll probably do at some point. So right now I'm very curious to learn the genetics behind the Brown reds...How do you go about trying to breed for your own brown reds (if possible)?

I currently have a mille fluer project, partridge project and a black, blue and blue splash project i'm just getting started. I also have 2 red show quality pullets my kids will be using for 4-h, 2 white hens and a Columbian buff - all of which are my daughters pet/show chickens.

Sorry I can't help with genetics
But I'm a Cochin nut too. Have over 60 of them.
I'm partial to the calicos. But trying for chocolates too next spring.

I love the calicos too. I have 6 of them right now. I was only supposed to have a little flock of the cochins...that didn't last long! My husband just shakes his head and doesn't ask questions, haha.
