Brown stuff lining my weak hens beak?

I don’t have photos because I took it off immediately, but there was this weird brown stuff that was also lined with something clearish that was lining my hens beak. I noticed she seems to have a lot of mucus, is weaker, and slower as well. I’m more worried about the mucus because that’s something I’ve never seen before with my chickens? She’s one of my first hens I would hate for something to happen to her.

Some more things: She wants to drink water but the mucus is stopping her from doing so. She’s also a 3 year old buff orpington.
