BSL or Barred rock?

Sorry, I think my original post got deleted? We were supposed to get 2 BSL and 1 BR at a feed store. One BR seems true to defined B&W coloring but the other one looks kind of barred but with grey stripes- I believe it was in the BSL bin? Is it a cockerel if it is a BSL? The chick in question is on the left

If it is indeed a BSL, then yes, it would be a cockerel.

Poor "Hazel," she/he really is the runt of the group and I was hoping maybe a BR got into the pile of BSL, but the feathering is significantly more subdued than my BR.

Ok, you really need to wait a little longer. My BSL cockerel didn't start to show barring until 4 weeks and the barred pullets I had took even longer.
