Btw Japanese acting strange

3 month old btw Japanese bantam acting weird . Keeps his neck feathers puffed out . Can't find any injury and if I pick him up he acts lively but he stays in pen around coop while all the others go outside free range . Any suggestions? None of the others seem to be sick or any issues . He was fine a couple days ago

Sounds like he's not feeling well, could be any number of diseases, my first thought would be cocidiosis, check his poop and try to look for symptoms for what he might be dealing with.
