It doesn't look like a standard Buckeye to me...often they can hatch more golden yellow, rather than fox red, but usually the feathers come in clearly dark red.

You have pale yellow and brown coming in...not leaping to Buckeye.

Does it have a pea comb? If not, it is not a Buckeye.

Here is a photo from the American Buckeye Association FB with some typical Bucks at this stage. You can also see my photos of Buckeye hatch below in my byline.

I'm not sure if it's a pea or Rose comb,I'm pretty sure it's a rose though, the roo dad also had the same comb, and he was burgandy/red with the greenish in his tail feathers

And can any of y'all confirm my nagging suspicion of her being a him? I keep going back and forth...one min I'm like totally a roo...then no no ,hen ( YAYYYY) then 5 min later, def roo!! (Awww)
He/she is totally my baby :) comes straight up and into my hand ...I just love him...her...

Possibly dad is a rosecomb RIR....would have to see him.

Copper is rosecombed, likely a roo with that much red at 5 weeks, definitely not Buckeye, a d not a full RIR as too light in color.
