What specific characteristics should I be looking for to determine male vs female?

    Thanks! [IMG]

Brahma cockerels will develop combs much earlier, which can be identified early by an increased redding in the comb. Usually, if you have several chickens of the same breed, compare comb sizes and color. If some seem to be developing combs much faster, they are probably cockerels.

I've got 2 of this breed & they've both got similar combs. I didn't know if pointed feathers, etc mean anything. They don't have much of anything for tail feathers. [IMG]
