Buff Duck and Pekin duck hens broody in same nest

I have a buff Duck hen that went broody 4 days ago. And for some strange reason the pekin duck also acts broody and warms the eggs along with the buff Duck. But when the pekin leaves the nest she doesn't act broody. Very strange.

Chickens sometimes have close friendships, if that is what you can call it. Sometimes even roosters will sit on eggs so the mom can take a break.
