Buff Laced Brahma? hen or roo?

    I posted pics on here somewhere?? Where did they go? I have a chick that is 13-14 weeks old, wondering if you think hen or rooster?

    That is not a Buff Laced Brahma. It is a Buff Brahma. Sometimes referred to as Buff Columbian. It looks like a rooster to me.

    Thats a pretty buff brahma. I cant see the feathers in front of the tail well enough to tell. If he has any pointy feathers at all it is a cockeral.

    OK the kid that sold the bird to me said Buff Laced Brahma. Whatever it is, we love it. I just took a few more pics. I"ll put them on here in a minute.

    Thank you. He is a pretty bird and very sweet and gentle. I wish they would stay that way. It breaks my heart to think he might get mean one day.

    I had a buff brahma bantam and he was just a sweetheart, so hope yours stays sweet.

    ETA: Yeah more slick shiny feathers on the back and a bit darker buff too says boy!
