Buff Orpington and sex linking

Picking up a BO roo probably. What breed hen would I want to use for sex link chicks? I read Rhode Island white. Would white leghorns work also? Figure that might be easier for me to find and thought that might be a good cross. Any other options?

If you look at the very first post in this thread you can see a chart for which breeds to use for red sex links. You will find another chart for what breeds to use to make black sex links. You will find the Buff Orp rooster is one the left of both charts. That means you can use any of the hens on the right side of either chart to make sex links.

Just a plug for putting him over a barred rock hen. I've seen pictures of those offspring and the hens are the prettiest!

Somebody else mentioned that to me. Got the buff rooster today and he is beautiful. Got to get some more hens now.
