Buff Orpington need sex help!

    Hi y’all! We have Hazel and Pearl our first chickens! We need help sexing them!
    Hazel is much larger and were nervous she’s a roo!

    You must have your ages wrong, because these chicks are under six weeks old.

    I would guess maybe 5 weeks old at the oldest....

    Wouldn't necessarily say that because one chick is larger, that means its male. My first set of chickens that I hand raised (5 total), the largest (almost double the size of the rest at one point) that I was CONVINCED was a boy (right?) was in fact a girl. Who woulda thought...she was just fat :p:p But yeah, give it some time then we can better tell who is who!

    Good luck with the little cuties!!! BO roosters have a reputation to be very docile (ive had many) and very well mannered. Hopefully you can keep them if either is a cockerel (see my profile pic). Very sociable :love:love

    We are so attached! I can’t imagine getting rid of either one of them. They are parts of where family now. We got them at 2 days old and that was 7 weeks ago.

    Hard to see natural colors due to red lamp. Could you get photos without the red lamp?
