Buff Orpington Roo or Hen?

    By my rough calculation, this chicken is about 16 weeks old. I suspect that he's a roo and not a hen, but am looking for others to weigh in with their thoughts! I've gone through all of the "BO hen or rooster?" threads and have taken pics of the feathers since it seems like the comb and waddles have massive variance and aren't as reliable in sexing this breed. Pretty sure I know the answer...

    IMO a pullet. I see no signs of rooster characteristics. And IMO she is nearing a first egg for you.

    You should post an intro under the New Members forum to get a proper welcoming.

    Sorry, but I"m thinking cockerel. I'm pretty sure I see those darker, pointy hackle and saddle feathers coming in. Plus, the leggy, gawky look says cockerel.
