Buff Orpington strange behavior

    I recently was given two 2 month old buff Orpington chicks - one is female and I believe the other is male. They were given to me because they weren't adjusting with the previous owners existing chickens. The male especially was obviously abused by the older chickens - he was not allowed to eat and almost all of his feathers were pulled out. His feathers have begun to grow back and he eats normally, but over the last couple of days he chirps constantly and stands with his head tucked under one wing. Sometimes when he sleeps he trills and seems content, especially when I hold him on my lap as I watch tv. But it's the constant chirping/tweeting that concerns me. Does this sound familiar to anyone? He is so incredibly sweet natured and I want to do everything I can to bring him to excellent health. We have about 28 other chickens, all in amazing health, from 2 weeks to 3 1/2 months.
    Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!
    We are giving the highest quality food as well as probiotics in his water - and he is being kept with his sister inside.
