    when do my buff orpington chickens start to lay eggs and they are 6 months old ??[​IMG]

    Like most chickens, they start at around 5 months but this time of year with shorter days they take longer.
    It depends on how desperate one is to get eggs from late spring hatched chicks.
    You can add light to the coop to up the day length to about 14 hours or wait till they kick in on their own.
