I live near Winnipeg MB. and I was wondering if anybody around here have (or knew anybody who does) any Buff Orpingtons for sale. I am a huge fan of the breed but haven't been able to find any in my area. Also, do you know of any hatcheries in Canada that sell Buff Orpington chicks or adult birds? Please help!!!

Thanks, those are some pretty nice birds Dakid, I'm not looking for show quality birds, just some nice ones to have around the farm and stuff. I've never kept them before, will you tell me some stuff about the breed? Thanks a bunch!

Did you check out the canadian breeders topic?
I have Buff Orpingtons but I live in Alberta. So I would have to figure out how to ship eggs.

Yeah, I'm not even sure how you would go about doing that. Where did you get them?

oh well, one question, are they cold hardy? I wouldn't want to get some new birds only to have them die over winter.

so far mine have done okay.
Better then my sussex. But I think it depends on your coop and the number of chickens you have.
