I have two identical to the one on the right (see the head to the left behind them), and I think the one on the left is a roo - any hints? They are six weeks old...

    6 weeks?
    .....
The one on the right is 100% a hen.
The one on the left... [IMG] I'm guessing roo.

Yeah that's all. The barnevelders in with them aren't even 75% feathered yet and the brahmas are somewhere in between. I'm guessing the same too, roo on left, hen on right and behind.

I'm thinking what the others are thinking. It looks like a flash may have washed out some coloring. Are the comb and wattles on the left bird more pink than that on the right?

Yes, a definate dark rose colour in stead of a washed out biscuit colour.

Are you in the UK? Those birds look good! Nice, large heads with excellent feathering even at their age.

In Ireland, West Cork, but there's UK heritage in them ok. They are actually a little darker than this, they were washed out by the flash.

I'm really happy with them, although the two hens have very little in the way of tail as yet. They might end up more rounded than peaked.
