That pretty much sums it up!

Three buff chicks hatched with peachy skin, even on beaks and feet. From a reputable NPIP breeder who's a BYC member. Nice chicks, but no slate-grey anywhere! Does anyone think this will change?

I read on one post that this never happens with purebred silkies. Does anyone else have pale-skinned babies?

    Thanks to everyone that answered.

They may not be show-quality, but they are really beautiful buffs. One looks like she rolled in orange juice, she glows orange all over like a person with bright orange ---natural-- hair. it's quite pretty, despite the light skin.

I'll post pics in a few days, when they can be moved out of the brooder room into sunlight:)
