buff sussex

My friend had several colours of Sussex, they were tame and wonderful to look at, he claimed only a few brooded once/twice a year but they were good mums. If you want a broody breed I'd try Pekins and Silkies :)
 
they may go broody at some point. When they do, they usually get off the eggs every 3-7h to feed and poo when they do take the eggs and replace them with ice cubes. If you are trying to hatch chicks just let them do there thing. DO NOT TAKE THE EGGS IF THEY'RE STILL IN THE NEST!!! Hope this helps! And have a merry Christmas!
