Friday I stopped at our new Rural King for feed for the girls. I have 24 Golden buffs right now. As I walked past the water troughs full of day old chicks, magically, 6 of them became boxed up and in my shopping cart. Not sure how that happened!

There were about 12 troughs with various breeds of chicks. Above the "magic" trough that forced me to buy, there was a sign that read "Buff pullets". I asked the clerk if those were Golden buffs, or Buff Orpingtons, or just what they were. She had no idea.

Here are some pics of my new girls.

Can anybody identify these little gals for me?

    Thanks in advance!

Many chicks look like that when they are young. I would wait awhile and post new pics

They could be New Hampshire, RIR, Buff Orpington, Buff Rock, or Red/Gold Sexlinks just to name a few.

    Cute chicks.

    Good luck with them.
