I anm freaked out with these gray speck like insects on my hand from going near a hen of mine. What are they, how do I help my flock, and I had her in my cement basement. Do I need to call an exterminator?

Sounds like mites...Permethrin spray will deal with them in your basement...you should dust your chickens with Permethrin powder...pay special attention to under their wings and around their vents..remove and burn all bedding and re--treat in 7 10 days...
