    Hello Chicken People!

My name is Ilyssa and I am on the verge to have chickens! My roommate and I are building a coop now and searching for interesting chickens. I am looking for chickens that could lay well in the AZ winter and have character!

    Any suggestions would be great!
I am very excited about my new experience to have chickens!

[IMG] probably of most concern in Arizonna is providing lots of shade (natural or manufactured) to help keep the birds cool. Maybe opened sided (wire paneled) coops as well - the locals will have the best advice for you.
