Bumble foot removal?

Yesterday I removed the bumble from my hens foot, I soaked it for half and hour. I'm not sure I did it right, no yellow stuff came out. Here is the photo from a day after it was taken out. Don't mind the V shaped mark, it's just from the bandage. Will this heal now or do I need to do more?

Also, should I put a disinfectant on it sometimes? What type is good?
