Bumblefoot in ducks~ my new innovative idea!

    One of my ducks has Bumblefoot, I did surgery on it, removing the hard black dead tissue. Now his feet have to be bandaged daily. Problem- ducks swim. Solution- Condoms! Yes, I said Condoms! I cover the bandaged feet with them and use small (for hair) rubber bands to hold them on. See pics. HaHaHa!

    Yes, he can. Gets in & out of the pool by himself. He walks funny but OK. [​IMG]

    I haven't told him yet. He does have a great sense of humor, I'm sure he'll crack up! Especially when I ask for 100 dry, non-lubricated condoms, Lol! I got these free from the Health Dept. [​IMG]

    Will bumblefoot make a duckling roll over onto it's side or back? Does it always look that bad?

    None of mine rolled on their backs. One duck had it much worse, it killed him (his hocks were huge, swollen, cracked red & hot). I got to him too late.
