Hi i have a duck that has bumblefoot
I have been treating it for about 5 days now the fever went away and the swelling went down.
But I missed two days on treating was out of town the wound healed completely but there is alot swelling how can I help her without cutting her back open?

You may need to have her on oral antibiotics.

Also, bumblefoot can take several weeks to really finish off.

So for now, a topical antibiotic ointment without painkiller three times a day and especially at bedtime (I reckon bedtime means no swimming for several hours, so it's less likely to wear off overnight).

What treatment have you been using? There are a bunch of ways people deal with it.

I was soaking her foot in Epson salt then pulling the scab off then putting neosporin with water proof bandaid and ace tape, but now the hole closed up and the swelling is still there.
