Hi!

I have a lovely 5 toed lady about 5 years old, who has a severe case of bumblefoot. We tried all at home methods we could and finally had a vet come and do a minor surgery. However, the corns keep coming back and at this point we have gone so deep into her foot that it's to the tendons. One of her toes is dead and leg is swollen, I think it is in her bones. At this point I am soaking the foot twice a day in Novalson, giving her pain meds from vet, giving her fish penicillin from the feed store.

During the day she lounges around and eats a bit. My question is should I just continue her interventions and hope for the best, should I cull her, or is there something else I should try?

Do I just let the toes fall off?

I've had chickens for 20 years and believe it or not, I've never had to deal with bumblefoot, we thought she walked weird because of her extra toes. I feel so bad.
