Hello, so, my Cuckoo Maran was diagnosed with septic joint when she was a pullet. She's always walked with a gimp because her right leg is a little crooked. Anyway, despite the fact that she cannot walk very fast, she's able to roost and has become a healthy, laying hen. Unfortunately, I've noticed that she's now having even more trouble walking. I suspect she has bumble foot? I called around town and finally found an avian vet available to see her tomorrow. I know it's common, but since this is (possibly) my first case of bumble foot, I'd like an expert opinion. Any suggestions from those experienced with bumble foot? I have 20 other chickens and have not noticed any symptoms of bumble foot within the flock. They are all pasture-raised. Thank you, Stacey.
