Bumblefoot

What would happen to chickens foot if you dont treat bumblefoot?
If after you remove it and dont get all of it, will it return? Once you do the surgery on the chickens foot, about how long until their foot heals that you can remove the wrapping?

Thanks for the info. Im glad I decided on the surgery today. I had to do two chickens. The one we got it all out but the second one, Im not sure if we got the whole thing. I guess time will tell.
